Kamaru Usman Returns? UFC 310
Yes, UFC 310 was supposed to be Kamaru Usman’s return, why am I saying supposed to be is because, Kamaru has backed out stating it would too early to be fighting in December’s UFC 310 against Shavkat Rakhmonov. Kamaru is focused on his recovery, therefore he feels letting UFC 310 pass would be a wise decision to make. Kamaru isn’t frightened or afraid of his opponent but doesn’t want to lose the fight. He is taking enough time to come back stronger.
Kamaru’s record is 20-4-0, lost his last fight against Khamzat in Oct 2023 UFC 294. It’s been almost a year now, Kamaru is far away from the octagon, therefore he needs a perfect return. Kamaru lost against Leon Edward’s at UFC 286 in March 2023, August 2022.
Kamaru in his latest podcast did appreciate and praised his going to be opponent Shavkat Rakhmonov. Kamaru said he is waiting for the right time to attack, but the right time isn’t now. Rakhmonov is still looking for a new opponent after Belal Muhammad withdrew from UFC 310.
It’s also said that Colby Covington was supposed to fight Rakhmonov, but that was an empty call made. Same was said by Rakhmonov. Covington could have been a best match for Rakhmonov, but the reality is, there’s still search going for the best match.
Now the question is, who would fight Rakhmonov. It’s on UFC management and Dana to find the best match for Rakhmonov.

Can KHAMZAT vs Kamaru again happen?
Well, we can tell stories that how KHAMZAT defeated Kamaru. And Kamaru wait long to avenge Khamzat, but due some issues the fight was called off. There’s a very least chance that Kamaru would fight Khamzat again. And it’s next to impossible. Kamaru has to prove his worth to again fight KHAMZAT, as kamaru has lost last of his 3 fights.
He Would have defeat many to come close to khamzat or fight against him. Khamzat is celebrating his win over Whittaker. The undefeated Khamzat would definitely rest and recover for his next fight, which isn’t going to get scheduled soon. Khamzat still remains undefeated in UFC.
Who else would choose to fight Rakhmonov is a big question, and the answer to that is ‘no one as of now’. What if Kamaru changes his mind in the upcoming days. What is Kamaru agrees for the fight. Rakhmonov has to keep his patience, it’s clear that Rakhmonov wants to thrash his opponent, whoever it may be. By his recent post it’s very clear that Rakhmonov is very eager to fight and wants to give his best out there. Rakhmonov is 18-0-0. He is an undefeated champ. He wants to prove his worth, he won’t wait long for the fight to happen. After the fight against Belal Muhammad was called off, Rakhmonov frustration was clearly visible through his recent post on social media.
